Communism in India

Its interesting that even as China seeks to move away from Communism (at least as far as the money aspect is concerned), the Communists in India seem hell bent to take India to the dark ages.

The first blame must lie with the Congress party whose thirst for power at any cost meant that they had to take support from the left. The left parties typically want no responsibility (I think it must be a party dogma). The only thing that they do is loudly critique any constructive activity.

While the communist party rants and raves, the politically sauve Congress party is doing precisely what it wants and rightly so. Left to the whims of the commies, I think we'll go back to living in communes.

Now one hears of the left looking to forge a third front. What a joke. Hey guys just go back under the rock you crept out from and the world will be a better place.

Does Outsourcing need to be regulated?

Do we really need an organization to regulate the outsourcing business in India? Do we need the government telling us what to do? Do we need someone like NASSCOM to certify people. Come on folks this is free enterprise. The smart ones will survive and the not so smart ones will perish. Do we need a "sheltered workshop" ? Why do we need an IT ministry or an IT Secretary?

Having spent time in the USA, I am an unbashed admirer of the eco system there that helps Entrepreneurs. These are usually private. The government enables it from the outside and not by burdening the system with unecessary bottlenecks.

Call anywhere in India for 1 Rupee - Good or Bad

As a consumer, its good to know that Pan India calls are going to cost only 1 Rupee. Is this however destroying those companies that paid Millions of Dollars in licence fees and setup costs?
